The temple consists of a sanctum, antarala and a pillared hall (sabha mantapa) all of granite. There is an open platform flanking the entrance doorway. The Vaishnava Dvarapalas are in low relief on the door jambs. There is no cult image in iconic form as it is said to be an udbhavamurti (uniconic). The sikhara of the Garbha Griha is of brick and mortar profusely ornamented with stucco figures. On the parapet of the main hall also there are stucco figures of 8 out of 10 dasavataras (Rama and Krishna missing). On the southern parapet of the various other figures of deities are seen on the western, southern and eastern sides.

CONSERVATION

These stucco figures are of fine plaster on solid brick. They are now crumbling into powder. Hence immediate repairs are needed.
