On the eastern side of the banks of the wide lake, if we stand there and have a glance at the temple, on the right side there are Bhairava and Hanuman temples, which is in a spoilt condition. On the left side is Vinayaka temple and backside is Hinguladevi temple and snakes forest which is in spoilt condition. On the opposite side the tall and elegant Panchalingeshwara Gopura-which shows the grandeur of those days. The spiritual surroundings prevailing here and the cultural activities are imprinted in the minds of the people. But the picture which is imprinted in our mind is immediately forgotten and is diverted somewhere else without a second thought. The reason for this is that, now-a-days, in these mechanical years, modern people who lead a mechanical life and especially for the youth who do not have the cultural knowledge, interest or curiosity will be like life without roots if they lose interest or affection about our culture. As our state's background will not be protected from the floods, even our life's aim will be like fog on screen.

So the responsibility of common person like us is to have knowledge of the surroundings historical background, the way our ancestor's were leading their lifestyle and how they helped in the growth of our Dharmika parampara. From there dedicated nature if we get inspired, there is no doubt that our future will be brighter. Like this many dedicated persons are responsible for the growth of spiritual and cultural institutions like Panchalingeshwara. Even though now it is very difficult to know about these persons, sometimes even common persons collect money, with great difficulty, and have helped in construction of these temples. Through Shasanas, we have come to know that a person by name Lingashivajeeya, earned money through begging and renovated Jatinga Rameshwara temple, the temple's priests and cooks were instrumental in constructing this temple is what the Shasanas also tells us. Our ancestors interest in the construction of the temple and their dedication cannot be measured. If any one of us have the same spirit as them, they would not have repented seeing the plight of today's Panchalingeshwara. Bommanna who belongs to Kumbara caste had long back for the installation of god Kumbeshwara undertook a vow not to wash his head and not to have food unless it is complete, but now-a-days no one will make such vows.

One happy news is that from the determination of those people, the new generation is influenced. Protecting our state's important sculptures is the responsibility of Prakthana Shastra department. As they did not have a glance at this, with no other solution, a trust for the restoration of this temple has been formed. In the management side is Sri. Raghavashetty, Shantharam Shetty and Nagesh Rao who with great enthusiasm commenced the work. This trust which has lost its previous grace and which is financially poor, when we look at the work to be undertaken by this trust, we can conclude that the necessity of help through donations. This temple which is of importance in our country and which is situated in our motherland is a thing we have to be proud about. This temple, which is a reflection of our culture, must be protected and it is our utmost responsibility. This trust, which has undertaken to do this work, should be encouraged financially and in other possible ways and the goal of our ancestors who has built and developed this trust let us also be a part of this good work.
