Dharmothana Trust established with a vision to rescue crumbling heritage structures across Karnataka.
Rapid Expansion
Initial focus on identifying dilapidated temples. First 35 temples identified and restoration begun. Collaboration with ASI and Government of Karnataka established.
Institutional Growth
Recognizing that heritage is a collective responsibility, the Trust pioneered the Tripartite Funding Model. This structured partnership between the Trust, the State Government, and the Local Community (40:40:20) became the standard for sustainability.
Consolidation Phase
158 temples restored. Expanded to 18 districts. Advanced documentation using 3D scanning technology.
Pandemic Resilience
200+ temples restored despite global challenges. Digital heritage archive launched across 22 districts.
Present Era
300+ temples restored across 25 districts. Strategic partnerships with state departments and sustainable local stewardship programs established.
